Wednesday is coming round again, which means there’s only one place to be! The February 12th edition of Darren Connell’s hit show Just One More Laugh at Blackfriars of Bell St. will feature Fred MacAulay, Scott Agnew, Amanda Dwyer, Kyle Samuel and Dan McKenna.
You’ve seen him on Have I Got News For You, Mock the Week, QI, STV and Comic Relief Does Fame Academy, and you’ve heard him on BBC Radio Scotland and Radio 4, to name but a few… its safe to say Fred MacAulay is one of Scotland’s biggest comedy stars. Fred’s on air witticisms and on screen reputation are the product of years of experience on the live circuit, including a stint as the first ever-Scottish compere at the Comedy Store in London. In addition he was a guest on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson twice on US television and his performance at The Montreal Comedy Festival has been shown coast to coast in North America.
"One of the best comedian Britain has produced" - Richard Osman "Rib achingly funny, one of the funniest men alive" - Sunday Times
Your host for the evening is Scott Agnew, a critically acclaimed 20 year veteran of the stand-up circuit both nationally and internationally. He has been a guest on BBC Scotland's Comedy Underground and regular panellist on BBC Radio Scotland’s Breaking The News. His comedy CV is as packed as his work diary, having won Scottish Comedian of the Year, Best Show 2017 and nominated for Best Headliner 2018 at the Scottish Comedy Awards. Other gongs include Winner of Icon Entertainer of The Year 2017, 2020 Proud Scotland Entertainer of The Year Award and Attitude Magazines 84th Most Eligible Gay Bachelor In The World 2017 (still single but inexplicably dropped out the chart run down).
“No one has anecdotes quite like Scott Agnew… shockingly entertaining and eye opening." - Chortle
"Electrifying" – Guardian
Opening the show will be Amanda Dwyer, a comedienne with a deadpan delivery alongside a wicked sense of humour. Amanda regularly performs at comedy clubs all over Scotland and is the creator of the Material, Girl comedy show in Glasgow. Amanda also provides tour support for Tom Stade.
"She’s Death Valley dry but she’s deceptively warm” ★ ★ ★ ★ - The Wee Review
Also featuring shorter sets from Kyle Samuel and Dan McKenna.
