Craft Pottery is hosting a special ‘paint and sip’ evening in collaboration with House for an Art Lover, the iconic venue inspired by Mackintosh’s visionary designs.
Aimed at admirers of Mackintosh’s distinctive work and creative individuals alike, this event promises an inspiring and relaxed atmosphere where attendees can design their own pottery piece while enjoying delicious food in a truly special setting.
Located within the picturesque Bellahouston Park, the venue was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1901, embodying the renowned architect’s life and style. Though unfinished in his lifetime, it stands as a tribute to his genius, shaped by those who built, celebrated, and continue to visit it.
The evening will begin with a pottery painting session in the Studio Pavilion, followed by a delightful sharing platter experience in the stunning Art Lover’s Café. Each attendee’s masterpiece will be professionally glazed and can be collected from the Craft Pottery studio once ready.
Tickets are priced at £35 per person, which includes a pottery painting session led by the talented Craft Pottery team, a ceramic dish to paint, all paints and glazing, a sharing platter to enjoy the night and exclusive Charles Rennie Mackintosh-inspired stencils to help bring designs to life. Tickets will be available to purchase from the House for an Art Lover website.
Attendees will also receive a complimentary ‘after hours’ viewing of the Mackintosh Exhibition.
Event schedule:
4:30pm: Pottery Painting in the Studio Pavilion
6:30pm: Move to the Art Lover’s Café for a delicious sharing platter
Each table will enjoy a fantastic sharing platter, with a choice of:
Classic platter: Breaded mini fishcakes / Mini beef sliders / Mozzarella dippers / Chicken pakora / Salt & chilli seasoned dirty fries with Chinese curry sauce
Vegan & veggie platter: Vegetable pakora / Salt & chilli seasoned dirty fries with Chinese curry sauce / Vegan popcorn ‘chicken’ / Vegan slider / Vegetable samosa
A fully stocked bar will be available in both the Studio Pavilion and the Art Lover’s Café for guests wishing to purchase drinks. Desserts will also be available to purchase on the evening.
