About Hand-Building: Scratch & Sip, Illustrate a Plate (BYOB)
Etch your very own story into a pre-made ceramic plate! In this unique workshop you’ll explore the art of sgraffito, a decorative technique where you carve intricate designs into the surface of a plate coated with coloured (dark blue) slip. These pieces can be used for display purposes as wall-hanging works of art, or you can eat off of them, of course!
No prior experience? No problem! Our expert instructor will guide you through the process, helping you create stunning, personalised patterns and textures to make your plate truly one-of-a-kind. Enjoy a relaxed and creative afternoon as you bring your vision to life!
Pieces will be coated in a layer of clear gloss glaze to capture the designs detail & make your surface long lasting and food safe. Please note that your pieces will be ready for collection 3-4 weeks after the class.
Whats Included:
All materials, including tools and a pre-made plate (20cm x 20cm)
An apron.
Expert guidance from experienced tutors.
Firing of your completed pieces (x1).
