Glasgow’s tenement closes are renowned for their grand entranceways. These colourful and decorative tiled walls, known locally as ‘wally closes’, are the inspiration for this workshop which takes place as part of WestFest Glasgow 2025.
Using a range of materials you’ll design and create a 3D tile, from which you can create rubbings to form a row of tiles.
This workshop is suitable for both children and adults and all materials will be provided.
Free and drop-in from 2-4pm in the National Library of Scotland at Kelvin Hall.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
