Fire Stories: Workers Theatre Edition
The Craigallian Fire served as a beacon of hope for working class men and women through the depression of the 20s and 30s. Many radical fire sitters felt its warmth over the years, including land reformers, anti-fascists and Red Clydesiders.
Join us as we present a deconstructed version of our play ‘The Fire That Never Went Out’. Our performance will be interwoven with discussion and performances from our invited guests.
We’ll hear from other radical writers and performers about Glasgow’s long tradition of political working-class theatre and the barriers we face as working-class artists today.
Followed by live music and social until 11pm
