Don’t miss a fantastic double bill in the Renfield Centre's spectacular Sanctuary during Glasgow Blythswood Festival, featuring BBC Radio Scotland Traditional Musician of the Year finalist Miguel Girão (guitar) & Celtic Connections Battle of the Bands Winner Dauntless.
With a broad style which swiftly shifts between accompanist and soloist, embodying edges of classical, jazz and contemporary music, Miguel Girão has been described as “a new and genuinely unique voice in contemporary Scottish trad. You really haven’t heard this before” Miguel will be followed by the Winners of Celtic Connections 2025 Battle of the Bands, Dauntless. With their unique combination of 18th-century fiddle music with original compositions. Hear repertoire from energetic foot-stomping tunes to thoughtful, melodic pieces. Not to be missed.
