Big Sing: Musical Theatre Course
This one-day course is for singers and performers who enjoy learning harmonies, developing sight singing skills and singing with peers without the added pressure of performing.
About Big Sing: Musical Theatre Course
Throughout the day, students will work closely with our experienced staff and like-minded peers to learn two or three of musical theatre’s biggest ensemble numbers. The day consists of working as a large ensemble, with opportunities to engage is smaller sectionals and solo work, for those who would like to explore their voices in a safe and supportive environment.
Students will be introduced to the core elements of vocal health and ensemble singing while working with musical directors, vocal coaches and ensemble directors to create a truly unique experience. The day will culminate in a private workshop style sharing to celebrate the work achieved throughout the day.
This course is open to anyone who loves to sing as part of a chorus; whether you are interested in exploring something new, or have been treading the boards in amateur or professional theatre, this is an exciting opportunity to be in a room with fellow musical theatre lovers, and sing for the joy and love of it. This course is particularly beneficial to students, graduates and working-performers who are eager to continue developing their skills while in training, auditioning or in between work.
