About us:
Established in 1990, Strathclyde University Concert Band (SUCB) is composed of current students, staff, and alumni of the University, as well as students from other institutions. Each year they perform several concerts, and in recent years have received prestigious awards at the National Concert Band Festival, the Scottish Concert Band Festival, and international events under the guidance of our Musical Director, Chris Mitchell.
The Strathclyde University Trad Music Society is for all who love to play, see, and enjoy Scottish and Irish music. Open to all students, Members often meet up for casual sessions and also play at ceilidhs year round!
Strathclyde University Symphony Orchestra is conducted by John Grant and plays a variety of music to suit all tastes and instruments. Holding weekly rehearsals, the Orchestra is open to all students.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
