Join us for Sounds of Freedom, a powerful evening of music bringing together expert scholars and performers from the U.S.—Dr. Kathy Bullock and Dr. Diane White-Clayton (Dr. Dee)—and from Scotland—Margaret Bennett, Peggy Brunache, Alasdair Whyte, and Fiona Ritchie—this event invites us to reflect on, remember, and reimagine the stories of the transatlantic slave trade from both African American and Scottish perspectives through story, scholarship, and song.
