Experience the Healing Power of Sound, January 11th, at YAMA Studios, Glasgow
What to Expect
During a sound bath, you’ll lie down comfortably, on a yoga mat with blankets and pillows, while I create an evolving landscape of sound around you. Your presence and openness to receive is all that is required.
Instruments I Use
I work with a variety of acoustic instruments, each chosen for its unique resonance and energetic effect. These often include:
Crystal Singing Bowls & Hand-hammered Sound Bowls– using different tonal combinations to trigger states of deep relaxation, insights, or altered states of consciousness.
Chimes – Light, airy sounds that bring a sense of clarity and upliftment.
Drums and Shakers – Rhythmic grounding instruments used to create pulse and movement.
Voice – Intuitive vocal work to open space and deepen emotional connection.
Tension & Release
At the heart of my sound work is the principle of tension and release. It is a natural rhythm present in both music and the human experience. Through these built up moments, we allow the body to meet and feel areas of held tension. Then, I gradually shift into softness, stillness, and openness, giving you space to let go and integrate.
This cycle mirrors the way we move through emotions, stress, and healing: pressure, awareness, release, and restoration. By working with these patterns, sound can become a powerful ally in emotional processing and nervous system regulation.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
