When their father falls ill, three sisters are at a loss. They struggle to see a place for themselves in society without their patriarch, especially when Scotland is on the brink of war again. But young Sorcha has been having strange dreams. The women she dreams of are bolder, louder, wilder, and it is getting harder for Sorcha to ignore their coven calls.
Wild and Withered is a play about sisterhood, prejudice and fate, charting the unknown origin story of the witches in Shakespeare’s Macbeth.
Auditions take place at Glasgow Acting Academy on Monday 1st September.
