Welcome to the R-CADE Chess Club. We host our club during our Quiet game sessions every Thursday and on the last Sunday of each month.

For players aged 8 and up.
We will have a number of chess boards in the R-CADE cafe available to play. We will also have printouts of standard chess instructions for any new players who are looking to learn for the first time.
By booking one ticket for our chess club you will be reserving TWO spaces at our chess table. Gamers aged 8 and up can attend and play, but please note that kids under 12 must have an adult (aged 18+) stay in the venue throughout the event. This adult is welcome to play too if they wish.
R-CADE staff will be on hand to offer assistance if you have any questions, but they will not be able to sit alongside and play / teach throughout the club.
We do not have chess timers in our cafe, but you are welcome to bring your own boards and timers if you prefer. This is not a competitive club, but if you would like to arrange a more formal chess tournament you are welcome to chat to R-CADE staff.
Our cafe will remain open throughout the club, and you are welcome to purchase drinks and snacks during your visit. Please note that outside food and drink is not allowed to be consumed in the cafe.
