Speakers include:
- Amy Li-Man from the Wing Hong Centre sharing about the Chinese vegetables being adapted to Glasgow’s climate to grow at the Centre and how these foods connect with traditional Chinese cooking and overall community wellbeing
- Dinna Likonde founder of Zam'Munda sharing her success in adapting a variety of traditional African crops to grow in Glasgow and the impact on local food sovereignty
- Désirée Coral, Scottish-based Ecuadorian artist, discussing the relationship with the colonial pathways of food and social impact it has on our plates today
We will also discuss the need for a more simplified process for acquiring land in Glasgow to grow food and explore ways to make that system more fit for purpose.
