Join me for a relaxed and creative upholstery workshop where you’ll make your very own footstool from start to finish. Each participant is provided with a handcrafted footstool base made by me in my workshop ready for you to upholster and personalise.
During this 3 hour hands on session you’ll learn the fundamentals of upholstery including how to stain the wooden legs, work with upholstery fabrics, secure your fabric using professional stapling techniques and achieve neat finishes around corners and legs. Throughout the workshop I’ll share practical tips and guidance tailored to your individual project.
This class is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some making experience. With a small group of up to 8 people everyone has their own workstation and plenty of one to one support allowing you to work confidently at your own pace in a friendly and supportive environment.
Three footstool sizes are available to choose from small medium and large all included as part of the workshop experience. All tools and materials are provided apart from your chosen upholstery fabric for the stool top.
As an added bonus if you have fabric left over you’ll have the opportunity to sew a simple cushion cover to match your stool at no extra cost.
Tea coffee and biscuits are provided and by the end of the workshop you’ll leave with new skills a real sense of achievement and a beautiful functional footstool ready to enjoy in your home.
Additional Dates: 22 February 2026, 29 March 2026, 26 April 2026, 31 May 2026
