Baby massage classes and fun, weekly, developmental classes for children aged 0-36 months.
Baby College® parent & baby classes are designed for parents and children from birth to 3+ years of age.
Developed in the UK, classes take parent and child through a unique range of activities that enhance every aspect of a child's development. These include games to stimulate development of:
• attention and learning
• balance and movement
• language acquisition
• cognition
• multi-sensory integration
• body awareness and concepts of self
• motor skills
• secure attachments
• emotional understanding
• social skills
• independence
Parents gain insight into different areas of early development as they participate in linguistic play, music, movement and other activities with their child.
The programme is sculpted to grow with your baby. Classes are offered in three different age groups; the pace builds and the activities accompany their expanding experience of the world.
Infant class for newborn to walking
Toddler+ class for walking to 36 months
The above classes running in Giffnock and Newton Mearns on Thursdays and Fridays.
Baby Massage classes for newborn babies to the age of 1.
The importance of touch for your baby’s growth, development and for the development of healthy positive relationships should not be underestimated. There have been many studies which have shown that the power of touch and massage can stimulate several positive benefits for your baby; such as encouraging bonding, reducing digestive problems including colic symptoms, and constipation. It can also help baby to de-stress and can promote better sleep.
Not all the benefits are exclusively for your baby; performing a massage routine with your baby can have a positive effect for you too as it can help increase parental confidence, give you more understanding of your baby’s nonverbal cues, and promote communication and positive interaction. It also releases "happy" hormones in you too helping reduce stress levels, increase milk production and combat PND.
Our courses lead you through a carefully designed programme, which will give you the confidence and skills to perform a daily massage routine with your baby; deepening the bond between you and your baby and promoting feelings of love and attachment.
