Good service and value for money prices are our trademark with something to suit everyone's pocket.
We pride ourselves in welcoming all sections of the southside community and continue to be non-sectarian and a focus for local events. As our regulars will testify we provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere with a great selection of German Biers, Local and UK wide brewed Craft Beers, Mainland and Island Whiskies. In addition we have a selection of wines by the glass and bottle.....something for even the most discerning palate.
Our regulars' teams are very successful participants in the local area darts, dominoes and golf leagues, feel free to enquire if interested in joining.
Singers can join in the karaoke on a Saturday night and the brainboxes amongst you are welcome to try our challenging pub quiz on a Thursday night.....it's hard, but fun! A very popular night so arrive early to guarantee a seat - 9.00pm start.
During the annual 'Southside Fringe Festival' you will find us hosting live music events and spontaneous open music jams and throughout the year we organise days away such as sailings on the Waverley Paddle Steamer, outings to the Scottish Grand National and other days to Ayr race-course.
We are very dog friendly with complimentary treats and water bowls.....and usually our doggie locals get preferencial treatment at the bar (we mean the furry ones).
Our jukebox has become a centre of attraction on quiet nights with a musical selection that defies description and we always welcome new suggestions as to particular bands/genres.
During big sporting events you can be assured of a hot pie or sandwich at half-time and if required we can provide affordable buffets for funerals, birthdays, retirements and other anniversaries... enquire at the bar for further info!
