We are delighted to announce the four exciting new productions that will make up our 2022 Summer Season. We have two fabulous outdoor shows on offer and are especially excited to be returning to performing in the glorious surroundings of the Kibble Palace.
A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM
22nd June - 9th July
Directed in a joyous production by Jennifer Dick, will open the season outdoors.
Bard in the Botanics is thrilled to present a brand new production of Shakespeare’s most marvellous and magical play. A celebration of our freedom of expression - the right to love who we want, create what we want and be what we want - this dynamic, colourful and joyous show will be the perfect pastime for a midsummer night.
MEDEA
23rd June - 9th July
Bard in the Botanics are proud to produce this thrilling Greek tragedy in a powerful new version of Medea by Kathy McKean, with award-winning actor, Nicole Cooper, in the title role.
MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING
14th July - 30th July
Shakespeare’s warmest & wittiest comedy gets a thoroughly modern makeover as two of his best-loved characters are reinvented as Benedick & Bertram and the original romcom is given a 21st century twist.
THE TEMPEST
14th July - 30th July
In this new version of Shakespeare’s final play, The Tempest, past and present, reality and fantasy collide in a hauntingly beautiful story of love, loss and learning to let go.
