We are a small, unique walking tour company built by locals. We offer a City Centre & Street Art tour during the week and also have a range of private tours suitable for everyone! Below you'll find information about our main tours, please book via our website to get a spot on one of our tours.
City Centre - Walking Tour of Glasgow
This is our most popular tour as it will take you around all the main sites of the city, giving you an excellent opportunity to get your bearings of the city and find out about its history and culture. The tour allows you to see the growth of Glasgow from where it began to where it is now and how the vibrant culture we have today was born through it's rich history. The tour lasts around 2.5-3 hours and will incorporate a break to give you a chance to visit the Necropolis and spend a penny. The tour is about 3 miles long so please bear this in mind.
The tour will take a look at famous figures to Glasgow, such as St. Mungo, and their stories as we go through the city. Here's some of the sites we'll cover:
• George Square
• Glasgow Cathedral and Necropolis
• Glasgow Green
• The Clyde
• The Duke of Wellington
We will also explore some hidden treasures of the city that you wouldn't see by yourself!
Just arrive outside City Chambers building in George Square 5-10 minutes before the tour and you'll spot us with our bright orange umbrella. The tour will end at the Duke of Wellington statue, which is right next to George Square.
In order to book a spot on this tour, please go to our booking page.
Street Art Walking Tour
This is a tour you shouldn't miss when visiting Glasgow! This amazing city is filled with stunning and unique murals all over the city. This mural and modern culture tour will show the beautiful street art pieces scattered around the city of Glasgow and you'll learn about their development and the artists behind the pieces.
In this 2 hour tour, you will see works you may recognise from locally-known artists as well as some lesser known, unique pieces. You'll understand the stories and inspiration behind them and learn about how this art culture developed in Glasgow.
Not only will we see the famous street art pieces, you will find out some anecdotes about modern Glasgow and learn about the nightlife and lively culture that exists today in the city. The young vibrancy of Glasgow is one of its most attractive qualities, and something you shouldn't miss on your trip to our city.
This tour will be running every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 2pm. It is also available for a private tour on request via our website.
Private Tours
We also offer a range of private tours including a Pub Tour, a West End Tour and an Instagram Tour. You can find full information of these tours on their respective pages on our website www.walkingtoursin.com/tours
