...including a chocolate egg hunt, cuddly farm animals, and a flying visit from Spiderman.
The web-slinging superhero will be swinging into world famous toy store Hamleys on Saturday April 12 to promote the release of The Amazing Spiderman 2, in which Peter Parker faces his greatest battle to date. Spiderman is in store 11am-4pm.
The centre’s Easter programme runs throughout the school holidays. Highlights include St. Enoch Centre’s Easter egg hunt, with a free chocolate treat and the chance to win a £100 goodie bag, and Scribble School - a series of Easter-themed cartoon workshops. Scribble School runs throughout the day Saturday April 19 and Sunday April 20.
Hamleys’ Bunny Bear is the star of the toy store’s Easter parties (April 7-18, £12) but families can also meet real life Easter bunnies at Hamleys’ petting farm.
Jack the Pony, fluffy sheep and friendly goats will join a host of smaller creatures including rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, chinchilla and a Chilean rose tarantula. The animals, from Lamont City Farm in Erskine, will be in store Monday to Friday from April 7 – 18, with the selection available varying from day to day.
Budding pop stars can discover if they have the X Factor on Friday April 18 when the X Factor mobile audition van arrives at St. Enoch Centre. The van is travelling up and down the country in search of the next singing sensation. Entrants must be 16 or over to audition.
There’s more X Factor fun when boy band Union J, formed on the ITV show, sign their new range of dolls at Hamleys in St. Enoch Centre on Thursday April 10 from 1-6pm. Shoppers who purchase a Union J doll will be able to join the queue to have their doll signed by the band.
Hamleys’ petting farm will not be available during the Union J event.
Anne Ledgerwood, general manager of St. Enoch Centre, said: “We want to make sure our shoppers experience Easter at its best so we’re providing a range of fun-filled family activities throughout the holiday period.
“We look forward to welcoming visitors old and new throughout Easter and hope our young shoppers enjoy our wide range of events.”
