Beatson Cancer Charity has launched its brand new fundraising initiative ‘Bake it for the Beatson’ with cake connoisseur James Morton of ‘Great British Bake Off’ fame at the helm.
Whether you’re a star baker or guilty of turning out a few soggy bottoms, Beatson Cancer Charity is calling on people all over Scotland to help beat cancer by digging out their pinnies and rolling pins and get baking!
‘Bake it for the Beatson’ will run throughout November and from buns and baps, cupcakes and cookies to flans and fruitcakes, we want everyone no matter their baking ability to get involved to raise as much money as possible. So what's your signature bake? Scrumptious scones, a classic Victoria sponge, or melt in the mouth brownies? Whatever it is, we'd love you to Bake It For The Beatson!
Whether you invite friends over for tea and homemade cake, hold a bake sale at school, or run a bake off at work: every bun and biccie will help to raise funds for Beatson Cancer Charity and support people living with cancer. With one in three people affected by cancer in the West of Scotland - one of the highest rates in Europe - we really hope that this November you'll Bake It For The Beatson.
The event will encourage people of all ages to ride on the ever popular baking bandwagon and either invite friends over for tea and homemade cake, hold a bake sale at school or run a bake off at work. Every single bun and biccie baked will help raise funds for Beatson Cancer Charity and support people living with cancer.
If you’re one of the ten brilliant bakers who raise the most money by November 30th, then you’ll be enjoying the company and baking knowhow of Great British Bake Off finalist, James Morton, one fantastic day no baker will ever forget.
