Over 4000 shoppers take part in St. Enoch Retail Awards

Debenhams, H&M and Glasgow favourite, Kimble’s were among the stores voted ‘top of shops’ at St. Enoch Centre’s annual Retailer Awards.

The St. Enoch Retailer Awards were established to reward the centre’s stores and recognise their contribution to Glasgow’s retail success. The city’s Style Mile is the UK’s top shopping destination outside of London.

The awards, first staged in 2014 to mark the centre’s 25th anniversary, feature 14 categories, ranging from Mixed Fashion to Confectionery.

Winners in this year’s most coveted categories were decided by Glasgow’s greatest retail experts – shoppers – with more than 4,000 people casting a vote.

It was a double win for Debenhams who took home awards for Men’s Fashion and Mixed Fashion, while H&M came out on top for Ladies Fashion. Boots was crowned best for Health and Beauty while Kimble’s cafe, deli and chocolate shop scooped a triple win in the Confectionery, Best Use of Social Media and Food categories. Thomas Cook scored highest in the awards for Customer Service.

Stacey Hill of Disney Store was voted Best Team Member, while Claire Finlayson from Starbucks prevailed in the Best Store Manager category. Disney was awarded Best Children’s Store, Schuh Kids came top for Footwear and Barrhead Travel best for Travel.
