Cumbernauld woman takes to the airwaves and stars in radio ad
A Cumbernauld woman has taken to the airwaves to record an advert for leading social care charity, Quarriers!

Elizabeth Dempsey, who is supported by Quarriers North Lanarkshire Service, was selected to be the voice for the recruitment campaign ‘Care to Join Us’.
Elizabeth visited the Clyde 1 studios where she met George Bowie and Cassi from Bowie@Breakfast to pick up some helpful tips and advice ahead of her on-air debut.
The advert highlights job opportunities at Quarriers’ services in North Lanarkshire including roles at North Lanarkshire Disability which provides valuable support for people with physical and learning disabilities.
Elizabeth was joined by Support Workers, Audrey Ballantyne and Elaine Ross to record the advert which has already had a very positive response.
Audrey Ballantyne, said: “Going into a real-life radio studio to record the advert was a great adventure and opportunity for Elizabeth. She was able to convey the real connection between the staff and the people we at Quarriers support in a truly authentic way. The advert has really resonated with listeners and we’ve had a great response to the campaign.
“Everyone at Clyde 1 was so welcoming and gave us a behind the scenes tour. It was a great experience and meeting George and Cassi really made the day all the more special.”
