Local designers and makers invited to take part in new Princes Square Collective

Every weekend in October and up until Christmas, Princes Square Collective will showcase the work of local traders - from start-ups to larger independent brands - to offer customers something different each week.
Located in the heart of Buchanan Street, Princes Square’s iconic 19th century building was voted Scotland’s favourite historic building in 2016 and offers unrivalled premium surroundings in Glasgow. Princes Square Collective will have its own space on the ground floor, alongside the likes of leading worldwide brands: Kate Spade, Ted Baker, Reiss, Cos and Timothy Oulton.
Euan McWhirter, jewellery designer, is just one of the brands taking part in the launch weekend. Euan has worked for top jewellers, Erickson Beamon and his designs have adorned the likes of Kylie; British model, Laura Bailey and Garbage frontwoman, Shirley Manson.
Euan said: “I’m delighted to be a part of the Princes Square Collective. I’ve previously worked with Princes Square on various Pop Ups and events. It represents the best of independent & luxury shopping in Glasgow, so it’s very exciting to be back alongside other great Scottish Brands and to be selling face to face with customers after working mostly online for the last year.”
Katie Moody, Princes Square, said: “At Princes Square we like to be different and offer our guests an exclusive experience with unique retailers and food options. The Princes Square Collective will give up and coming makers, local artists, retailers, and designers the chance to showcase their wares to a captive audience. If you’re a local artist, retailer or maker looking for a city centre location, we’d love to hear from you.”
Eight different brands will be chosen each week. The sellers will book in advance and have an allocated unit to trade in on the ground floor of Princes Square every Saturday & Sunday.
With over 25 retailers and 12 eateries, Princes Square is Glasgow’s premier retail and leisure destination. Located in the heart of the city’s bustling Buchanan Street, the mall provides a shopping haven to lovers of high street and designer fashion, beauty, jewellery, homewares and lifestyle brands while its wide range of bars, restaurants and cafes offers something for every palate. Opening hours are 10am – 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and 12-5pm on Sundays.
