Friday the 13th, considered unlucky by some, is being celebrated this year by Spooktacular, Scotland’s favourite Halloween event, who are offering all those named ‘Jason’ free admission to the fair on this Friday, October 13th.
Friday the 13th is the famed American horror film franchise that focuses on the main character Jason Voorhees and is continuously hailed as one of the greatest - and scariest! - Halloween films of all time.
Zoe Taylor, Operational Manager of Spooktacular comments: “The Spooktacular team love a scary film - it comes with the job! We conducted a poll across the team and Friday the 13th was pronounced our favourite film!
“I know some people consider Friday the 13th to be somewhat unlucky but Scotland’s Jason's can rejoice this year with free entry to Spooktacular on Friday 13th!”
The first 100 people to each session with Jason as their legal first name just need to present themselves at the ticket booth on Friday 13th and show their valid ID to enjoy free entry to Spooktacular and its range of spine tingling rides!
Friday the 13th also marks the first day of Spook Week where Spooktacular will be open for two sessions per day; 12-4pm and 5-9pm for the duration of the school holidays.
Spooktacular is now in its third year and after electrifying success of past events, they promise another sensational event for the spook-tastic season, bewitching all the family in the Green Car Park at Silverburn. Fun and frolics for thrill-seekers are expected with a wide range of exciting rides, a Spooky Silent Disco, photo opportunities and fang-tastic food options.
Spooktacular tickets give visitors unlimited access to over 15 rides for the duration of a four hour session alongside access to the photo opportunities, food and drink, paid games and attractions. As well as the Spooky Silent Disco - brand new for 2023!
