With two weeks to go until Steve Clarke’s team kick off the opening Euros match against Germany, Platform has announced the ultimate fan experience in Glasgow, combining non-stop football, high-octane atmosphere and a new lucky mascot feature, 'Platform Predicts'. Starting from the UEFA Champions League final on 1st June, Platform will be the place to be for every major football match this summer.
Nestled under the historic railway arches, Platform's fan zone is set to be the heart of football action with a family and dog-friendly atmosphere. With a capacity of over 1800, fans can catch every UEFA European game on multiple massive giant screens throughout the venue this summer, alongside its outdoor Courtyard and brand new ‘Platform Predicts’ Mascot where a pup picks a winner ahead of each game.
Platform’s EUROs fanzone will see the Platform Pup mascot predicting match winners pregame across social media on @platform_gla. This furry forecaster will choose his winning team by sitting at the relevant team’s station, adding an adorable element to the usual pre-game excitement.
Tartan Army’s most heroic players will also be celebrated with cocktail specials to keep the party atmosphere flowing. Platform’s Scotland team inspired cocktails include a Super John McGinn - a martini mixed with Ketel one citron, lemon juice and sugar. An Elderflower of Scotland, a nod to Craig Gordon himself featuring Bombay Sapphire, St Germain, lemon, sugar and topped with soda. And a classic Irn Bru old Fashioned with Monkey Shoulder, orange bitters and a homemade Irn-Bru syrup.
Platform will be decked out with EUROs themed decorations including bunting, football cutouts, and flags, ensuring a festive atmosphere throughout the tournament. An interactive goal target area will also be set up for fans to shoot their best goals, with opportunities to win dining experiences and more.
Celebrations will kick off early with the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Dortmund showing from 7.30pm 1st June. Then from Friday 14th June until the final on Sunday 14th July, Platform will show every single game on their epic big screens located throughout the venue. With up to four games a day, it’s the perfect spot for any football fans and their family or friends to set up camp and feast on Platform’s delicious menu all summer long. From kid-friendly dishes for the little ones to sharing small plates for the adults, there’s something for everyone on the menu.
All EURO matches will be shown on Platform’s big screens - pre-booking is highly encouraged. Platform operates Wednesday to Sunday from 12pm until late. To book your table head to platformgla.co.uk/table-booking/
