This open event from 10am - 12.30pm, complete with complimentary pastries and networking opportunities, acknowledges the city’s growing population of professionals who enjoy the freedom of coworking.
The city’s much-loved sky bar has become a popular alternative to working from home, offering networking opportunities with stunning cityscape views. VEGA has created an optimal working environment with doors open from 8 a.m., featuring easy-listening playlists, super-fast free Wi-Fi, and numerous charging points, ensuring guests can achieve full productivity.
In addition to the International Coworking Day celebration, VEGA has announced a new initiative dubbed ‘Work Wednesdays’ to encourage guests to bring their laptops and join the coworking community in the city. Taking place from 10 am to 12:30 pm on Wednesdays throughout August (14th, 21st, and 28th), these sessions offer guests the chance to enjoy complimentary pastries and chat with fellow creatives.
With Glasgow Central Station only steps away and private meeting rooms available, entertaining clients in the city centre has never been easier. Guests can enhance their VEGA experience by adding bowling in the four-lane neon-lit bowling alley or enjoying a meal or drinks from the in-house kitchen and bar.
Neil Taylor, YOTEL Glasgow General Manager, comments on the new offer: “‘Work Wednesdays’ sessions will provide informal networking opportunities and blend our vibrant social and work cultures. We hope our regulars will love this new initiative, and we look forward to welcoming new faces. Come along and join us in August!”
The seventh-floor hotspot has also introduced the VEGA RETREAT Package, crafted in collaboration with experts and prominent local businesses to offer elevated corporate experiences and events this summer. Tailored for the modern corporate environment, these innovative team cohesion solutions present workplaces with opportunities for personal growth and the development of client and colleague relationships through wellness days, executive meetings, private dinners, large-scale presentations, and networking events.
The scenic venue offers ice-breaking cocktail masterclasses, 'Big Lane Energy' bowling competitions, relaxing yoga days, goal-setting workshops, and living in the moment masterclasses with James McCourt. The customisable retreat package can include catering, DJ hire, branded photo booths, and city-wide experiences like educational, historical, and sightseeing tours to enhance team dynamics and promote a holistic corporate retreat experience.
Neil continues: “We are proud that VEGA has become a hub for professionals in the city centre and are delighted to deliver elevated days out and retreats for workplaces seeking bespoke solutions to their workforce event needs.”
