Clan fans rally to the charity cause
The Glasgow Clan's Purple Army of fans raised more than £11,000 for the charity that promotes awareness and opportunities to participate in ice sports.

The money was donated to the Glasgow Clan Ice Futures Charity that aims to give all age groups the chance to take part in skating, ice hockey and other ice-based activities at a grassroots level.
The professional ice hockey outfit held a bucket collection, accepted donations via a QR code and a post-game auction was staged where Clan supporters bid for game-worn jerseys created specially for the recent match against Nottingham Panthers, at Braehead Arena.
There was also a Shirt Off the Back draw giving fans the chance to take home their favourite players' special edition warm-up jerseys.
Glasgow Clan managing director, Gareth Chalmers praised the generosity of the ice hockey fans: “The Purple Army has once again risen to the occasion and the amount of money raised is fantastic. They played a pivotal role in achieving this incredible total.
“The fundraising effort will go a long way to making a difference to people’s lives and help shape the future of ice hockey in our community. It’s a huge thank you to everyone who donated.”
