Hosted in an exciting collaboration with The Dalmore and Scottish fashion designer Siobhan Mackenzie – Kimpton Blythswood Square’s first designer in residence – the ticketed evening will take place on Friday 23rd January at the 5-star, AA accredited hotel.
Beginning at 7pm, guests will be welcomed by the breath-taking sound of a live bagpiper and served a delicious whisky cocktail and tasty canapés carefully curated by the talented dining team at the hotels signature restaurant iasg.
Scenes from the famous film adaption of William Wallace’s life, Braveheart, will be played in the private Harris Tweed cinema room, while guests enjoy their drinks and nibbles, before they are invited through to the Monte Carlo Suite to sit down for a three-course meal.
Throughout the meal, diners will be treated to live music from the brilliant Red Bothy Ceilidh Band, an insightful discussion on tartan with Siobhan – who designed the hotel’s official tartan – and a guided tastings of The Dalmore.
After a closing performance of ‘The Bonnie Banks’ and a final wee dram, any guest wishing to continue their night can visit The Salon for a nightcap, located on the second floor of the beautiful Georgian building.
Marcello Ventisei, General Manager, said: “A Burns Supper is one of Scotland’s most well-loved traditions, and as one of Scotland’s most well-loved hotels, it felt only natural to combine the two right here in the heart of Glasgow, but put our own Kimpton spin on it by combining whisky, cuisine, music and design.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with The Dalmore and Siobhan to host this incredible celebration of Burns’ life.
“This really is the perfect opportunity for anyone looking for a unique, elevated take on the classic Burns Supper. Whether it’s your first experience of Burns Night, or you look forward to a plate of haggis, neeps and tatties every year, it’s sure to be a memorable night.”
Siobhan Mackenzie added: “Burns Night is about storytelling, craft, and a deep sense of Scottish identity, and this supper at Kimpton Blythswood Square brings those values together so naturally.
“The event partnership with The Dalmore is especially meaningful to me, given its historic ties to the Mackenzie clan - a shared lineage of craftsmanship, resilience, and respect for tradition.
“It will be a fitting way to celebrate Robert Burns while honouring shared Scottish heritage.”
Tickets are priced at £105 per person and can be purchased here, and guests are encouraged to dress to impress.
