This Annual Festival marks the 1263 Battle of Largs, the last mainland battle between the Scots and Norse. We won!!
Each year the living history Viking Village is open to the public so that they can get a glimpse of what life would have been like in a 13th Century Viking Village.
Come and talk to them about their way of life; learn about how they made their clothes, weapons, jewellery and food. Ask the Vikings about their religion, beliefs, homes, crafts, ships, their homeland and why they left it...
At weekends, there will be aerobatic displays, on-stage entertainment and a variety of street performers on the Promenade and at various locations in the town. Check out the Parade and the Viking Festival of Fire (alternate week-ends). Come by train or bus. If you have a car park at the new Largs Campus (free of charge).
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Largs Viking Festival & Festival of Fire are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment. All information (whether in text or photographs) is given in good faith but should not be relied upon as being a statement of representation or fact.
