Butterflies are a beautiful and important part of the natural world, they are sensitive indicators of the health of the environment and play crucial roles in the food chain as well as being pollinators of plants.
RSPB Scotland Loch Lomond hosts many different species and sunny days in June are when it comes alive with them. Join us for this guided walk and workshop, with a local butterfly and moth surveyor. We will help you identify some common species and search for scarcer species, such as the small pearl-bordered fritillary.
Please bring a packed lunch to take with you to have out on the reserve.
This event is outdoors so please wear clothes appropriate for the unpredictable Scottish weather, including sturdy shoes!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
