Glasgow International, Scotland's biennial festival of contemporary art, is excited to announce the dates for its 11th edition, taking place from Friday 5 – Sunday 21 June 2026.
Over the course of the festival’s 18-day run, Glasgow International marks the city as a vital place for making, organising, and experiencing contemporary art.
Free, accessible, and open to all, the 2026 festival features work by over 60 artists, reflecting a wide range of artistic practice and multiple artforms.
Presented at locations across the city, the programme consists of work commissioned and curated by Glasgow International, alongside a series of projects selected through open call and developed by artists, artist-led spaces, and organisations in the city.
The festival programme navigates artistic experimentation, personal and ancestral memory, intergenerational kinship, and resonances that cross cultures and trace the textures and rhythms of different lands and waters. Projects span exhibition, performance, events, community organising, and research-based practice.
For this year’s festival, Glasgow International introduces Special Projects, a new initiative developed in partnership with Platform and Rumpus Room—two organisations that are deeply embedded within specific Glasgow communities—celebrating the expertise, insight, and care they bring to the city.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
