Book Launch: Reparative Trespassing - Artist Discussion, Film Screening & Ukraine Fundraiser

The launch event of the 16 Nicholson Street publication Reparative Trespassing is being held on 24th March at WASPS Studios, South Block in Glasgow City Centre!

Book Launch: Reparative Trespassing - Artist Discussion, Film Screening & Ukraine Fundraiser

About Book Launch: Reparative Trespassing - Artist Discussion, Film Screening & Ukraine Fundraiser

Developed by Nell Cardozo, this event will discuss and situate alongside each other the publication and works in our current exhibition 'Needs and Freedoms', reflecting on the theme of reparative or speculative archiving with the 16 Nicholson Street curatorial team and artists Fiona McGurk and Moira Salt.

This discussion will be followed by a screening of ‘Diviner’ (2017) by Frances Scott from the LUX Scotland collection.

Reparative Trespassing was developed in tandem with the artworks in 'Needs and Freedoms'. Edited and introduced by Isabella Shields, the publication collects elements of urban planning, community stories, personal narratives, poetic geology, hidden ciphers and data visualisations in order to build fragments of future archives and host past spectres.

Register on eventbrite so we can arrange appropriate seating & refreshments for the event. We are also offering a donation ticket with all proceeds directed towards the 'Raft for Ukraine' fundraiser by the “Czasoprzestrzeń” Cultural Center in Wrocław, who are providing direct support for Ukrainian refugees with housing, sanitary products, clothing, etc. and are in need of funds to support the 8,000 Ukrainian service users they have received, with hundreds more arriving daily.
