Our book group runs on the first Monday of every month from 6pm-7:30pm in the Mitchell Library, North Street, Glasgow, G3 7DN. We are relaunching after the Covid-19 pandemic and will be re-starting from September 2022. We are a friendly group and open to all.
The library kindly provides books for all members, so there is no cost involved. For an idea of the kind of books we read, the following are currently in stock in the library for us:
- House of the Spirits, Isabel Allende
- Huckleberry Finn, Mark Twain
- The Castle, Franz Kafka
- A Severed Head, Iris Murdoch
- One Hundred Years of Solitude, Gabriel Garcia Marquez
We are extremely grateful to the Mitchell Library for providing the space and the books free of charge, and want to continue to support and promote this service.
For any queries, get in touch via the message button, drop us an email (mitchellbookgroup@gmail.com) or come along on the first Monday of the month 6pm-7:30pm from Monday 5th September 2022 onwards.
We are based in the Fairfield Room (or ask at reception), Mitchell Library, North Street, Glasgow, G3 7DN. Hope to see some of you there!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
