Free to attend and open to everyone, each Festival will be an inspiring and unique three-day celebration that dares to reimagine our relationship with food and the planet.
On Friday night and all day Saturday, each Festival will become a celebration of live music as we welcome artists from around Scotland and the globe to perform on our three stages.
Music line-up includes: Rura / Les Amazones d’Afrique / Newton Faulkner / Niteworks / This is the Kit /The Orchestral Qawwali Project with Abi Sampa / Admiral Fallow / /Darlingside / Hannah Rarity / Jason Singh / National Youth Pipe Band / LYRE LYRE / Glasgow African Balafon Orchestra / Lisa Rigby / Baque Luar / Hen Hoose featuring Tamara Schlesinger, Emma Pollock, Elisabeth Elektra, Suse Bear, Pippa Murphy, Karine Polwart, Carla K Easton, Jayda and Amandah Wilkinson.
With special guests to be announced ahead of the Festival!
Get up close at our intimate, in-the-round Orchard Stage, which will allow people to gather 360 degrees to see the bands in action. And don’t miss the ‘Pavilion of Perpetual Light’— our magnificent 10m high vertical farm meets art installation and concert platform at the centre of the festivities. Constructed from 60 of our Cubes and hosting thousands of plug plants which will be gifted to the audience via our technician-performers, the stage will become a mesmerising backdrop of accelerated growing for an eclectic line-up of international and Scottish live acts.
Across the long weekend, head along to one of our ‘Potting Sheds’ which will host fun and thought-provoking talks, workshops and demos by community groups, performers and artists around themes like food poverty, climate action and sustainability. There will be the chance to get up close with our innovative miniature vertical farms, the ‘Cubes of Perpetual Light’ and take your first steps towards growing your own food with our mass plant giveaways. When you need a moment to relax, refresh and re-energise, you’ll be able to enjoy food and drink from ethical, sustainable, locally-sourced vendors.
The festivals are fantastic for families – under 5s can discover the world of plants and nature in The Nursery, and on Friday daytime the Dandelion Festival will welcome local schools and children to take part in science activities, talks and creative workshops.
It’s music, entertainment, food, ideas and learning for absolutely everyone.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
