Dennistoun Library & Glasgow Science Festival have invited local primary schools Alexandra Park & Golfhill, to take part in our Glasgow’s Making Waves Challenge. Groups of pupils will respond to the following brief and their posters will be on display in the library throughout June.
Scotland has an incredible history of invention as well as nurturing world class innovation today. From the TV to CubeSats, the Galloway Car to Grand Theft Auto, the electric toaster to Irn Bru! We want to know what’s your favourite invention that’s been made in Scotland or made by a Scottish person. Research your choice and create a poster that will be on display in Dennistoun Library. Sharing info on e.g. what the invention is, how it is used, how it benefits people, who invented/ designed/ created it.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
