With guest speaker Orla Murphy (climate activist).
Humanity faces an existential crisis. Global warming is out of control. While the root cause of the crisis lies in capitalism and its ceaseless search for profits to fuel its limitless self-expansion, this is not the complete explanation. It is capitalism in its monopoly or imperialist phase that is relentlessly driving planet earth to destruction.
Join us for the Glasgow launch of our new pamphlet ‘Capitalism is Extinction, Socialism is Survival’ which shows that the climate struggle is a struggle against capitalism and imperialism. We will discuss what this means for the climate movement in imperialist Britain.
It’s not enough to just discuss these topics we must also be active on the streets so join us after the launch for two follow up meetings where we’ll plan an action in support of the climate.
Follow up meetings: 29th January 9th February (same time and place).
Copies of the pamphlet will be available to buy at the launch (£3.95) and are available to buy online (£5.50 inc 2nd class P&P):
