HER-larious returns! Everyone's favourite improv workshop for women and non-binary people is back!
With no props and no set, it is very easy to stand still and not explore the stage. This month we will be working on exercises and techniques to encourage movement, creating environments, using imagination and of course: having fun! We finish off the workshop with a fun-filled jam and a chance to show of those amazing improv skills.
Our two and a half hour workshop is priced at £6, or £4 concession. However no one will be turned away for lack of funds, so please do get in touch with any issues with the booking.
Our venue is located directly across from Kinning Park subway station, with on-street parking outside (subject to availability). We will be situated on the second floor, which is accessible via lift.
Open to women and non-binary people (aged 18+) of all experience levels. Perfect for performers looking to brush up on their improv skills or non-performers looking to try something new. We offer a relaxed, welcoming environment, so come and be HER-larious with us!
We want to create a safe space for those, who for whatever reason, feel they would benefit from an all women and non-binary persons space, to learn, develop, network and, most importantly, HAVE FUN!
This workshop will be taught by Judy Alfereti. Judy is a writer/performer with over 9 years of experience. A regular performer at Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Glasgow International Comedy Festival, Judy has been teaching for 5 years, having taught at HER-larious, The UK Screen Acting Academy, Scottish Screenwriters, The University of Bristol as well as private coaching. Judy currently performs with Three Act Sluture, Fiji and a Weegie and can be found guest spotting for teams and at various jams across the Central Belt.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
