You certainly might wonder what ‘Krum’ is about, so below I am including our director's brief description of the play:
'It is a dark comedy with two funerals and two weddings which follows the endeavours of Krum, a middle-aged man, who just returned from abroad and did not find happiness overseas. His lost hopes and misery sit uncomfortably in a tragically comical and absurd microworld of a forgotten neighbourhood full of lively and iconic characters. Levin in his characteristic manner captures his characters stuck between horror, humour, pathos and kitsch that often might be shocking to the audience members. In my directorial angle, I decided to focus on disastrously (and terribly humanly) unfulfilled loves, lives and dreams that haunt the world of Krum.'
Krum will be performed from the 26th-28th April in the Debates Chamber at the Glasgow University Union. Doors open at 7, for a 7.30 start. Tickets will be £9, £8 concession (student, over 60's and NHS staff) + booking fee.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
