‘There’s so much talent in Scotland,’ says film composer Patrick Doyle. ‘Our country is capable of anything.’ Tonight, as part of his 70th birthday celebrations, this Oscar-nominated graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland shares his gifts with a new generation of musicians, as student performers join forces with RSNO members to perform his acclaimed score for the 1927 silent movie IT – a sensational, star-studded rags-to-riches drama from the golden age of Hollywood. It’ll sound like a million dollars.
Film with live orchestra.
