This short course is for people age 16+ who are interested in applying to the BA Production Arts and Design programme at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. It is designed and led by experienced Production lecturers and aims to support your preparation for the interview process.
There is a vast array of possible 'back-stage' employment opportunities in theatre. These range from set and costume designer roles to workshop-based practitioner roles such as model-making, carpentry, costume making, prosthetics and scenic painting.
This two day course (11th November AND 25th November) gives practical advice for those wishing to apply for the BA Production Arts and Design programme, focusing on areas such as building a personal portfolio and covering what to expect from the interview tasks that are required when applying to our undergraduate programmes in production. Areas such as developing a concept, what to show and what to leave out, research, and creative development will be included.
