Saturday 7th September: Foundational Script On Different Paper Types
Glasgow Scribes members are starting their 2024-25 meeting year with coverage and practice of Foundational Script which was developed by Edward Johnston in the early 1900's. Different writing papers will also be explored . Visitors are welcome to attend.
Saturday 5th October: Gilding
Members of the Glasgow Scribes, a hobby calligraphy group, will be learning how to gild lettering and/or illustrations. Visitors are welcome to attend.
Saturday 2nd November: Medallions, Bird, Animal & Floral Flourishing
Members and visitors of the Glasgow Scribes will be learning and practising different ways of showing calligraphic strokes and/or adding decoration to enhance calligraphic work. Visitors are welcome to attend.
Saturday 7th December: Layout & Design
Members and visitors will be reviewing different layout and design techniques to display and enhance calligraphic writing. Visitors are welcome to attend.
