About Belong to the Barras
Over the past five years, winner of the 2023 Herald Media Award for Photography, Samuel J. Mitchell, has immersed himself in Glasgow's iconic Barras Market through his camera lens.
His fascinating exhibition of still images creates a visual journey that brings to life the vibrant spirit, camaraderie, passion, and persistence shared among those who have dedicated so much to the market over the years.
“Belong To The Barras” captures fleeting and hidden moments in time that define this historic marketplace and which, if not recorded, will be lost forever.
