Gavin Nicol's ‘A Search for Truth’ will be available to view from Saturday 7 October until 19 December 2023, featuring a range of drawings and paintings – including still life, landscape and figurative pieces.
Mr Nicol's works graced various venues throughout his life, including the Lillie Art Gallery in 1973.
He was born in Greenock in 1927 and began evening classes at the age of 16 at the Glasgow School of Art (GSA) before being called up into the RAF – serving in England, India and Pakistan.

Mr Nicol passed away in March 2020 at the age of 92. The free exhibition at the Lillie has been organised by his widow, Frances.
