This session will increase your understanding of what Citizen Science is and why it's important, it will improve your species identification skills and give you the chance to get out and connect with nature.
Citizen Science is vital as it allows us to more deeply understand the natural world around us. Nearly 90% of all species and habitat records collected in the UK come from Citizen Scientists, so by getting involved you can really make a difference.
Scotland Counts is a project which aims to ensure that every individual and community in Scotland has the opportunity to develop the skills and confidence to understand their local environment through Citizen Science.
National Tree Week is the UK’s largest annual tree celebration which runs from the 25th of November to the 5th of December. Find out more here: National Tree Week - join the UK's largest tree celebration (treecouncil.org.uk)
