Inclusivity:
I am committed to maintaining a respectful community where all my students can learn and develop their full potential, within a safe environment.
If you have a disability or any specific requirements, please do not hesitate to contact me prior to your lesson so I can accommodate you.
Class Description:
Avoid costly mistakes by learning all the tricks and tips in this thorough and informative foundation course. With a 'hands on' focus, Each student will work with Bullseye Glass (CoE90) but will have an overview on different types of glass you can use.
You will finish this two day workshop with a range of excellent samples, jewellery as well as a set of coasters and one finished piece of your choice showcasing the techniques learnt.
Over the two day course I will cover the following:
Confidence with glass cutting
Health and safety in the studio
What is compatible glass
Glass and heat - what happens in the kiln
Trouble-shooting with examples of things to avoid
The aim will be to give you the confidence to produce reliable results in the kiln and bring home some great glass works of your own making.
The workshops will take place in my studio at the Briggait Wasp studios in Glasgow city center.
I only have a max of 6 people in each weekend class.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
