We know how much many of you enjoy the cakes and bakes we serve up in the Art Lover’s Café -we bring you an exclusive opportunity to meet the genius behind the oven – our exceptional Pastry Chef, Helena Robertson. Although she’s a regular wizard in the pastry kitchen, this time she’ll take centre stage to lead a baking masterclass, unraveling the secrets behind some of our delectable creations.
Whether you’re gearing up for a grand birthday celebration and want to make the cakes extra special or simply seeking a relaxing (and tasty!) day out, this class is tailor-made for you. Join us for a fun session where you’ll learn to make some impressively delicious bakes.
Under Helena’s expert guidance, you’ll learn how to:
• Decorate a sponge cake like a pro (icing provided!)
• Bake our famous empire biscuits with your choice of caramel, raspberry jam, apricot jam or chocolate ganache filling
• Make a perfectly moist and flavourful banana bread
Following the class, you will be treated to a delightful afternoon tea and a glass of fizz. As an added bonus, your personal creations, including other delightful treats, will be yours to savour on the spot or take home for a bit of well-deserved boasting!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
