'Wonka' is a magical musical choca-block with songs, sweets and silliness – telling the story of the young Willy Wonka as he dreams of becoming a confectionary king.

'PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie' is an animated superhero comedy. A magical meteor lands in Adventure City and gives the PAW Patrol pups superpowers!

'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes' is the classic 1953 film starring Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell, combining comedy and lush musical numbers, including the iconic 'Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend'.

'Treasure Planet' is an epic, animated sci-fi adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's adventure novel 'Treasure Island'.

The Kirky Picture Palace is organised by Your Kirky and supported by East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture (EDLC) Trust – which operates Kirkintilloch Town Hall.

Councillor Jim Gibbons, Chair of EDLC, said, "It's great to see so many people enjoying films, old and new, at the heart of the Kirkintilloch community. I hope movie fans can continue to support the initiative and the town hall. Well done to all involved."

The Kirkintilloch Picture Palace relies on the star-studded efforts of a team of volunteers, including George Crooks, who said, "The fact we work as a team is great. I enjoy the social and fun side of things – harmony, fellowship and chatting to the community in general."

Serina Marshall, Cinema Co-ordinator of the Kirky Picture Palace, said, "Many thanks to everyone who came along to the festive screenings and our first Scottish Film Festival. We're pleased to be able to provide a range of movies for local residents – including screenings for young children and people with dementia.

"If you have a passion for the pictures and want to volunteer to help, please get in touch."
