A new year is the perfect time to discover a new author or activity by attending one (or all!) of our free New Chapter events between February- March.
Would you like to write creatively but need some help getting started? Whether you want to write for publication or just for fun, this session at Bridgeton Library will take you on a journey from fact to fiction, showing you how to use personal experience and emotions as a springboard for writing authentic, satisfying stories.
Writer and journalist, Dr Catherine Deveney, will give you tips and techniques to improve your writing skills, but also show you how writing can be used as a therapeutic, self-help tool for better mental wellbeing. The workshop will include some short practical writing exercises but it is very much a safe space: the tasks can be done for personal use only with no pressure to share. So, if you would like to get started on your writing journey AND learn how to effectively process some of life’s challenges through writing, please come along and take part.
To book your free place please email: ayewrite@glasgowlife.org.uk or phone Bridgeton Library: 0141 276 0870
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
