About Sublime Choral Music with Echo - Professional Vocal Ensemble

Sublime Choral Music with Echo

Join us at the beautiful University of Glasgow Memorial Chapel for a short evening performance of choral works including:

-New commission by Ailie Robertson
-Piece by emerging Glasgow composer Kenneth Tay
-Works by Robert Ramsey, Alexander McNamee, Panufnik, Vaughan Williams, Tallis, Kerry Andrew and Weelkes

Echo is a vocal ensemble made up of young professional singers from across the UK. As a group, Echo intends to explore the full range of what ensemble singing means - working both with and without a conductor , including improvisation in each concert and performing music both inside and outside of the Western classical canon. The group came together through Genesis Sixteen, the prestigious Young Artists Scheme run by The Sixteen. There are several Scottish performers in the ensemble. It has since become a known and acclaimed professional ensemble, featured on BBC Radio 3, at festivals, in UK's best theatres and concert halls.

Thanks to generous sponsorship and partnerships, this is a unique opportunity to see this ensemble for FREE!

This performance is part of their first Scotland tour.
