About Glasgow Science Festival: Open Afternoon at the Fossil Grove
Fossil Grove is a unique Earth heritage site with 11 fossil tree stumps, dating back to the Carboniferous Period some 325 million-years ago, that are preserved in the position in which they grew. The Geological Society of Glasgow and the Fossil Grove Trust will deliver tours, provide activities and share stories.
